NWKTC's Early College Program

If you’re a high school student who’s planning to attend college, the best way to save time and money is to earn college credit for free or at a reduced cost through Northwest Tech’s Early College program. This program introduces the college learning experience to high school juniors and seniors, allowing students to take college credit in high school while immersing themselves in the college experience.

The Cloud and Crypto Computing program is one of the offered junior/senior options that Northwest Tech provides, giving students the ability to complete an entire year's worth of the program before even graduating high school, without having to pay for any of the core technical classes.

The newly revised Cloud and Crypto Computing program prepares students for employment in software and app development. During the first half of the program, students complete a common core of classes that introduce them to five different pathways.  Students choose which one of the five pathways suits their interests and skillsets. Then during the second year of the program, students pursue that one pathway and engage in live work with team members from the other pathways, just as they would work in real-world companies. Live work on real projects with real employers is the highlight of the pathway experience.

To qualify, you must meet one or more of the following criteria and be able to secure transportation to the college's campus in Goodland daily once the fall semester begins:
- You’re in a gifted/honors program
- You receive approval from your principal
- You receive approval from your counselor
